For the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, BMW Malaysia is offering seven new exclusive and limited edition BMW cars.
The new versions will be the BMW 320i Lifestyle Edition, BMW 320i Performance Edition, the BMW 320d Performance Edition, and the BMW 325i Performance Edition. The introduction of these new editions is said to be 'BMW’s way of rewarding fans in Malaysia which will allow them to kick start the New Year with their best foot forward’.
The 3-Series Performance Editions will be available in a limited run of 48 units each of the 320i, 320d and 325i. Each car features BMW Performance accent strips which emphasize the car’s sporting credentials, while a brilliant black front grille adds to its dynamic character. Inside, the cars have BMW Performance selector lever grips covered in Alcantara and Walkanappa leather with a chrome strip on top as well as matching BMW Performance handbrake grip in Alcantara leather. New to the cockpit of the 3-Series Performance Editions are the BMW Performance aluminium pedal pads and footrest to complement the rest of the car’s overall sporty look.
Customers can also include with their purchase any of the four BMW Performance Accessories Packages which are available at special prices. The packages available are the BMW Performance Aerodynamics package, the BMW Performance Carbon package, the BMW Performance Interior package, and the BMW Performance Wheels package.
The presence of the BMW Performance Aerodynamics package in the form of a specially developed front kit, side skirts, rear diffuser and specifically for the brakes on the BMW 325i – BMW Performance Cold Air package, not only enhances the vehicle’s sports characteristics and striking looks but also helps improve the car’s driving dynamics.
In addition to the BMW Performance Aerodynamic package, the exterior of the 3-Series can be further complemented with the distinctive BMW Performance Carbon Package which consists of aerodynamic components made from carbonfibre. The package, which consists of BMW Performance Carbonfibre front splitter, rear spoiler, mirror caps and rear diffuser with M aerodynamic kit, are handmade and reduce the weight of the car for better performance as well as improved stability and roadholding. The BMW Performance Carbon package is available at a special price of RM10, 888 and only as an upgrade to cars already fitted with the BMW Performance Aerodynamics package.
Not limited to only the exterior components of the car, special accessories in the form of the BMW Performance Interior package (RM7,888) are also available for a sportier interior look and feel. This package consists of a distinctively designed dashboard and centre console as well as front and rear door trim strips in carbonfibre.
As for the BMW Performance Wheels Package, customers get double-spoke 269 and 313 rims combined with mixed run-flat tyres. Lighter weight on the rims is achieved through the extremely small diameter of the spokes whilst a cut-away design between the spokes and rims allows more air to get to the brakes for faster cooling. The BMW Performance Wheels packages are priced at RM15,888 and RM16,888 for the Double Spoke 269 rims and Double Spoke 313 rims, respectively.
The exterior of the new 523i Executive Edition has a new and exclusive Neptune Blue metallic finish with distinctive 17-inch light alloy wheels in special 278 double-spoke design while the interior has Poplar Grain Brown fine-woodtrim with matching Natural Brown “Dakota’ leather upholstery.
The 523i Exclusive Edition has a unique Platinum Bronze paintwork with chrome-plated trimming around the windows and windscreen washer jets. 17-inch light 277 V-spoke alloy wheels are fitted.
Inside, this special version of the 523i features Anthracite Variegated Bamboo trim with special entry strips bearing the 'Edition’ lettering – a combination that creates an exceptionally exclusive charisma.
Rounding off the car’s exclusive interior styling is a glass roof feature with anthracite roofliner and a sports leather steering wheel.
Also found in the 523i are Active Front Steering, Comfort Access System, Adaptive Headlights, High-beam Assistant, BMW Navigation System Professional with Voice Control capability as well as an audio system with 6-CD changer.
At the top end of the special editions is the 525i Sports Edition with a choice of two exclusive colours - Carbon Black Metallic or Alpine White - with the M aerodynamics package to accentuate the power and the sporty presence of the car. This sportiness is further emphasized with the addition of a M Sports Suspension with 19-inch light alloy wheels (172 M double spoke design). Also added to give the car more prominence is a muscular front, rear aprons and side skirts which also help in enhancing the dynamism of the car. This prominence is further enhanced with Satin Chrome, high gloss finishers.
Interior offering of the 525i Sports Edition include sports seats upholstered in an exclusive bi-colour Black/ Grey “Dakota” leather combination contrasted by the Aluminium Pentane interior trim and the Anthracite roofliner while door sill finishers with the 'Edition’ lettering confirm the exclusiveness of the car.
